Day 1 – Cusco – Huchuy Qosqo

Departure from Cusco is at 9:00 AM. We begin with a 20-minute drive to the Sacsayhuamán archaeological site, where our horseback riding adventure begins.

We ride for approximately 3 hours to reach the Yanacocha Lagoon (3,800 m / 12,543 ft), where we will have lunch. In the afternoon, we continue on horseback for about 2 more hours to reach the Inca archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo, arriving around 5:00 PM.

Day 2 – Huchuy Qosqo – Chinchero – Cusco

After breakfast, we visit the Huchuy Qosqo archaeological complex. We then continue the horseback ride for about 4 hours toward the Inca town of Chinchero. Along the way, we visit Piuray Lagoon and enjoy spectacular views of the Sacred Valley and the snow-capped peaks of Chicón and Veronica.

After the tour in Chinchero, we return to Cusco by car, arriving at around 5:00 PM. We then transfer you to your hotel.

The “Horseback Riding to Huchuy Qosqo 2 Days” was an amazing and unique way to explore the Andes. Riding through beautiful valleys and remote trails gave me a special connection to the landscape. Visiting the ancient site of Huchuy Qosqo on horseback made the experience even more memorable. The horses were well cared for, and the guides were friendly and knowledgeable. It’s perfect for those who want an adventurous yet relaxing way to see this incredible part of Peru.
