Palcoyo & Q’eswachaka Inca Bridge Tour – An Unforgettable Andean Adventure

Embark on a one-of-a-kind journey that blends nature, living history, and ancient culture. This tour takes you to the awe-inspiring Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain, a peaceful and magical alternative to Vinicunca, where the Andean landscape is naturally painted with surreal colors.

But the adventure doesn’t end there. We’ll head to the legendary Q’eswachaka Inca Bridge, the last remaining suspension bridge made entirely of plant fibers. Built using ancestral Inca techniques and preserved by local communities, crossing this bridge is like stepping back in time and connecting directly with the legacy of the Inca Empire.

Colors, culture, and centuries-old traditions await on this tour — a perfect choice for travelers seeking an authentic experience in the heart of Peru.

Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Palcoyo – Q’eswachaka – Cusco

The tour begins around 5:00 AM with pickup from your hotel or a central location in Cusco in private transportation.

After a drive of approximately 3.5 hours through scenic landscapes with herds of alpacas and local communities, we arrive at the Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain area. From this point, you’ll already be able to admire the colorful mountains and the surrounding Palcoyo Valley.

For those who wish to fully appreciate the views, a short 30-minute walk leads to the panoramic viewpoint. From here, you can see at least three rainbow-colored mountains and the full colorful valley surrounding the majestic Ausangate Glacier.

After enjoying the landscapes and taking photos, we begin the descent, which takes about 45 minutes, heading to Chuquicahuana where we will enjoy a hearty lunch.

Q’eswachaka Inca Bridge

After lunch, we drive about 1.5 hours to the Q’eswachaka Inca Bridge. Preserved through centuries-old traditions and rebuilt annually by over 1,000 locals, this bridge offers an immersive and interactive experience with Inca engineering. You’ll have the unique opportunity to walk across this handwoven bridge made entirely of natural fibers.

After visiting these two incredible sites, we begin the return journey to Cusco, arriving around 7:30 PM after approximately 3.5 hours of travel.
