On the first day, you’ll travel through stunning landscapes aboard a comfortable bus, passing through picturesque valleys and mountains until you reach Aguas Calientes — the town located at the base of Machu Picchu. Once there, you’ll enjoy a restful night in preparation for the big day ahead.

On the second day, in the morning, we’ll take a bus straight to the entrance of Machu Picchu, where you’ll be welcomed by a professional guide who will lead you through the historic citadel, revealing its secrets, legends, and architectural marvels.
After the guided tour, you’ll have free time to explore further and take spectacular photos of this iconic site.

Itinerary
First Day – Cusco to Aguas Calientes

Early in the morning, we will depart from Cusco aboard a comfortable tourist bus, traveling through beautiful valleys and Andean landscapes on our way to the Hydroelectric station.
From there, we will walk (optional train not included) along the railway line until reaching Aguas Calientes town.
Once in Aguas Calientes, you will check into your hotel and have free time to explore or relax.
Dinner is included at a local restaurant.

  • Route: Cusco – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes
  • Travel time: Approximately 7 hours by bus + 3-hour walk (optional train ride)

Second Day – Machu Picchu Visit and Return to Cusco

After an early breakfast, we will take the bus from Aguas Calientes up to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
Our professional guide will lead a 2-hour tour through the most important parts of the citadel.
After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore on your own before returning to Aguas Calientes.
Later, we walk back (or optional train) to the Hydroelectric station where our bus will be waiting to take you back to Cusco.

Solo Traveller

The “Machu Picchu by Bus – 2 Days” tour was a fantastic experience. Traveling by bus allowed me to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way without rushing. Spending two days gave me enough time to explore Machu Picchu thoroughly and really take in the history and magic of the place. The guide was very informative and made the visit even more memorable. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting a relaxed yet immersive Machu Picchu experience.
