Zipline is an activity that involves gliding through treetops, across rivers, ravines, or canyons using pulleys, harnesses, and a control system (for speed and body balance), all on a cable system suspended between fixed points. The entire route is elevated and has a sufficient slope to allow the pulleys to slide by gravity.
It is located 35 km from the city of Cusco, approximately a 40-minute drive to the site, in the town known as Raqchi. The area offers a stunning natural setting with views of the Chinchero plateau, the Pj’acchayoc canyon, the Sacred Valley, and the snow-capped peaks of Chicon and Pitusiray, along with the living culture of the Raqchi community.
The zip line circuit includes 4 different cables: the longest is 600 meters and the deepest spans 200 meters.
The first cable is gentle, allowing the participant to gain confidence and become familiar with the activity.
The second cable is the fastest, offering the sensation of flying at full speed.
The third cable is the longest, giving the participant time to try extreme positions or moves.
The fourth cable is the deepest, offering the best views of the canyon, the Sacred Valley, and the surrounding mountains.

We begin with hotel pickup and private transport to the town of Racchi, located in a stunning natural landscape surrounded by Andean mountains and the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival, you will receive a safety briefing from your instructor before starting the zipline circuit.
You’ll glide through four different cables, each offering a unique experience and breathtaking views of the canyon, snow-capped mountains, and the living culture of the Racchi Ayllu community.
Once the zipline activity is complete, we return to Cusco by private transport. Optionally, participants may visit traditional textile centers in Chinchero (subject to interest and time).
The Zip Line at Raqchi in the Sacred Valley was an adrenaline rush! The views flying over the valley and ancient ruins were spectacular. The staff made sure we felt safe and comfortable the whole time. It’s a perfect mix of adventure and culture, and a great way to see the Sacred Valley from a different perspective. Definitely worth trying if you love excitement and nature!
